Laboratories & Research Laboratories

Transformers & induction Machines, DC Machines Lab

Description: This lab introduces the Transformers, Induction motor and DC motors to students. The experiments gives practice to students on all machines to check no-load & load test, Starting methods, etc.
Area of Lab: 252.15 square meters






Control Systems & Measurements and circuit simulations Lab

Description:This lab introduces the Measuring instruments, P spice, control and MATLAB to students. The experiments gives practice to students on E-circuit simulations, measurements and calibration of meters, resistance, inductance, capacitance, power factor measurements, compensation, PID controllers, etc.
Area of Lab: 106.65 square meters



Power Electronics Lab & Logic Design Lab

Description:This lab introduces the high voltage electronics to students. The experiments gives practice to students on semiconductor switches, controlled rectifiers, ac voltage controllers, inverter circuits, motor controls etc.
Area of Lab: 125.28 square meters


High Voltage Lab:


Description:This lab introduces the high voltage relays to students. The experiments gives practice to students on insulation coordination, high voltage relay time setting & operations, etc.
Area of Lab: 215.34 square meters


Micro Controllers & Computer Techniques in Powersystem Analysis Lab:

Description: POWER SYSTEM SIMULATION LAB to introduce the MATLAB software and MI-Power simulation package tool for the analysis of the Power system network by graphical user interface.
The lab consists of 23 Zenith PC loaded with MATLAB and Mi-Power packages. The cost of Mi-power package is Rs-313170/- . TP link make super G, TL-wn650G 108mbps Wireless PC Adaptor of worth Rs-11440/- .
Total Area of the Lab:125.28 square meters.
